New, New Doctor Adventure This Week…
That’s right, just a friendly reminder that the BBC’s Red Button service will be broadcasting the first part of an all new “animated” (well, as animated as a 1996 Playstation game cutscene) November 21st. The fist segment will be approximately twelve minutes long and each segment afterward will be about six. Dreamland will be broadcast in it’s entirety on December 9th on BBC2.
Dreamland stars a couple of Who veterans. Georgia Moffat, daughter of Fifth Doctor Peter Davison and star of last year’s The Doctor’s Daughter does the voice of Cassie Rice. Lisa Bowerman, who appeared as Karra in the final classic era Doctor Who serial, Survival but is probably more well known to Who fans as Bernice Summerfield in the Sixth Doctor Big Finish audio dramas, does the voice of Seruba Velak. Veteran actor, David Warner, who has played more Star Trek characters than Mark Leonard, will be the voice of Lord Azlok.

So…. is this or is this not Doctor Who? Or just mentioning the actors doing the voices in an animated show?

No, it’s Doctor Who. It’s like the animated mini-sodes they did a couple of years ago, “The Infinite Quest”. Only this time they are using all CGI instead of mixing CG with Flash.
