David Tennant to do NBC Pilot…
All right you Brits, you’ve had David Tennant for far too long. Now WE get t play with him! NBC is developing a one hour pilot called “Rex Is Not Your Lawyer.” The show is a comedy/ drama (dramadie? comida?) That centers on Rex, a Chicago litigator who has panic attacks so he coaches his clients to represent themselves. Tennant of course will not be using his native accent. Imagine him going around saying “Da, Bears!” But, hey, it could work out really well for Tennant. Look at Hugh Laurie. And maybe we could get really lucky and NBC will tell Leno, “Dude… it’s over.”

Seriously?…I mean don’t get me wrong I would love to see Mr. Tennant on Prime Time TV, but this almost sounds too good to be true.

Entertainment Weekly and BBC News have articles on it so it must be legit. sounds a little too eli stone, and look what happened to that show

Of course NBC still has to say yes to the show. And of Tennant’s American accent, I heard him portray an American naval officer (who happens to be based in my hometown) on one of the Doctor Who audiobooks. Didn’t seem to bad.

So has filming started yet? Will it originate from Chicago (with filming here) or in Hollywood?
