New TARDIS?
I’ve been avoiding reading any Doctor Who news or sites recently because I don’t want any spoilage for Tennant’s last few episodes. I have occasionally seen some pictures though in other forums that could be considered spoilers. This one I saw this morning though I don’t really consider a spoiler. It seems the Doctor has decided to re-do his TARDIS. It’s still a police box, but it looks newer, the window panes are painted white, and there is dark glass in the windows. New-new Doctor, new-new TARDIS…
What do you guys think of it?

I like it, kinda reminds me of the TARDIS from the first Doctor’s reign. Plus, you can almost see a wood grain through the blue paint.

That image makes me very sad.
Tardis is supposed to look ancient, that looks like a modern interpretation of an old police box.

looks a bit like something you’d find in a child’s lego-box…

The T design in the windows are a cute new look nice finnish on it giving it a newer look It’s the interior that needs improvment haven’t seen it yet. Like the original style and 8th Doctors Tardis the Best!!

It looks more like a proper 1950’s police box with the white window frames and the blue glass in the window frame. It also has the St. Johns crest on the door. The public phone access door also has the correct black lettering on white background. The older Tardis for some reason had white writing on a blue background. So it is not really a new look, it is an old look. Also the Tardis should always look new. What you see is not really the Tardis, nobody knows what the Tardis really looks like. What you see is what the camelion circut projects it to look like on the outside. Also the Tardis has shields to protect it so it should not look scuffed or damaged. Unless the Doctor programs the camelion circuit to make it look weathered and old. But if you had a camelion circuit on your car wouldn’t you set it to always make your car look new?

It looks just like the current Doctor. Just another shameless glossy new gimmick to get more teen oriented viewers. I’m sorry, but he, like this new Tardis, will be the second death of this show, as Colin Baker was back in the Eighties. Too much overacting ( or in his case, underacting ) and not enough depth. He should have stayed as a footballer. The BBC should really rethink this.

Not sure if anyone has pointed this out, but shouldn’t your tag line be:
“Time waits for not man… except one.”?

Liked Hydrant’s comment about the Chameleon Circuit, although I will add that, for a purist, the TARDIS would look like a police box from 1963 London. So if it was copying a 30 year old box that was due for some maintenance, it would be expected to look a little beat up and possibly have some wear and tear and/or nonstandard paintjob.
I don’t dislike this version.
