New Logo Unveiled…

Eleventh Doctor Who Logo First off, yes we’re still alive! Taken a little break form the Whoniveres for a little while. Seriously, I mean I’ve only bought one DVD in the past four months (Black Orchid for the curious…). Kinda been out of touch with the good Doctor for a while. But I saw this and had to put in my two cents worth. Obviously it’s the new logo for not only Matt Smith’s tenure as the Doctor but for Steven Moffat’s tenure as show runner. I’m really curious to see how the logo’s gonna work in action. And I can just see that TARDIS-shaped “DW” on tons of merchandise. But we won’t be able to see it in action until spring 2010 when the new series starts. What do you guys think?

    Well i don’t like the current orange oval looking logo so I guess this one is better than THAT.

    I’m torn, while is holds a feel of the Retro Doctor Who logos, it also feels like something right out of Grange Hill, heck I’m still not taken in by Matt Smith.
    I’ve been hoping for months its a joke, because he was revealed to be The Doctor so early, I’m hoping it’s so that we don’t notice theres someone else playing the Doctor, but I guess that is too much to hope…

    I have a bad feeling Doctor Who will be aimed at a much younger audience now, and will feel more like a Kid’s show than the Sci-Fi Drama of the past, even with Moffat’s great skills of story telling, I’m skeptical…

    P.s. If you need some help maintaining the site and updating it, I’m willing to lend a hand when you’re too busy? lol

    I happen to like the new logo. I too am curious of how it will be used in the opening credits. Plus I saw the pictures of Matt Smith in costume and I am instantly a fan. After all how often do you get to see The Doctor wearing similar clothes to what oneself would wear. I am excited and cant wait to see how Tennant’s Doctor is killed.

    I like the Tardis-y bit, but still prefer the 3rd Doctor’s logo. Nw Who can’t get here fast enough.

    It seems cold. Don’t really care for the brushed metal look - it doesn’t feel appropriate.

    But maybe that’s what they’re going for
