Scully to Take on the Doctor?
Den of Geek has posted some news regarding The X-Files Gillian Anderson. Apparently Anderson is up in the running to be acting opposite Matt Smith’s eleventh Doctor for Series Five. An “insider” says she’s being considered to play the evil Time Lady, The Rani. Anderson currently resides in the UK and isa bout to star on the stage with ninth Doctor, Christopher Eccleston in A Doll’s House What do you guys think?

sounds like a pretty sweet match-up!
But, I have to wonder: what ever happened to “last of the Time Lords”? I mean, The Master coming back was sweet, if not a little bit forced (come on, The Master using the chameleon arch, because he was afraid? No way) It just makes me wonder how they’re going to bring The Rani back (parallel world has my vote)

My guess is that since Russell Davies is on the way out and the whole ‘last of the Time Lords’ thing was his idea that they may tell us something about the Time War and revive Gallifrey. Not only because of this story about the Rani but the rumor about The Meddling Monk making a return. And how cool would it be to see a super-hot regenerated Romana?
