The Times Online reported that RTD had an interesting idea for the next Christmas special. In it the Doctor would have to save J.K. Rowling who is being attacked by her own imagination! She would be pursed by wizards, witches and whatnot. However, it’s nt meant to be. David Tennant, who of course is part of the Potter mythos, thought it would play too much as a spoof. Plus while Waner Bros. releases the clssic series on DVD in the States, I doubt they’d allow the BBC to use characters from its cash cow.

Also in the article, RTD mentions that he’d like to see twenty-six year old actor Russell Tovey play the eleventh incarnation of the last Timelord. This wouldn’t be his first foray into the world of “Who.” He played “Allon-sy” Alonso Frame, the midshipman stuck on the bridge of the “Starship Titanic” in last year’s Voyage of the Damned. Personally I think he’s a bit young for the part, but then again Tennant may stick around for a few more years, so we’ll see.
