Remember in last year’s Human Nature/Family of Blood the Doctor gave Martha a set of rules to follow? Twenty-three specifically. Well we only get to hear a few, then Martha fast-forwards to the end. What were the other rules? Find out below…

One of the things I love about David Tennant is that he, like the best Doctor actors before him, consistently demonstrates when the camera if off (or, in this case, recording things never meant to be heard by the audience) why he’s perfect for the role. He’s just an extraordinarily charismatic and lively man who is never boring to watch, even when he’s reading or speaking gibberish. Something tells me that when he’s formally left the role, he’ll be contributing brilliant interviews and commentaries for WHO DVDs for years to come, ala those master storytellers Tom and Colin Baker.

First time I saw this I thought he said, “I HATE Pez!” Cracked me up. Then I realized he saying “pears”. Still funny (just not as much).

As an aside, any particular reason why you’ve chosen this week to post this clip? Is it possible you know something about pocket watches and fabricated human identities that the rest of us don’t?

I would like to say “yes,” but that would make me a liar. Actually I saw this on Fark over the weekend. Thought it was pretty funny.

Meh. I still don’t buy into the whole ‘Donna is a Time Lord/The Rani’ frothing.
I mean - supposing it is true, at a stretch - how do we explain her Mother, Father and Grandad? Did she just randomly take a familt and brainwash them into thinking they had a daughter?

If that is the explanation for what’s “different” about Donna, all that had to happen was that the Rani regenerated into a young girl (not completely out of the realm of possibility) and was adopted by the Noble family. But who says she’s the Rani? There are other female Time Lords whose sudden reappearance would be a huge reveal. Romana comes to mind. Better still, Susan Foreman, who left her grandfather in the wake of a Dalek invasion of Earth (referenced in THE STOLEN EARTH) and would be reunited with him during another. This whole series (all four seasons) has been primarily about the Doctor’s personal losses in the Time War, and no loss presumably hurt him more than that of his immediate family. What a bittersweet moment it would be to lose Donna but regain Susan, and perhaps Gallifrey itself?
Not saying I believe any of this. Just stuff to ponder as this excruciatingly long week drags on!

I’m gonna miss Tennant when he goes. Serious, or not he is always great, and entertaining. And this video is pretty hilarious.
