Series Finale Run Time…
The series finale of Doctor Who reportedly will run about sixty-five minutes long. This is about ten minutes longer than last year’s Last of the Timelords which ran at abut fifty-two minutes. Now what this means to us over her in the States is that we may not get to see the full episode. Last year the SciFi Network made a bad decision to cut ten minutes out of the finale (including the Master’s dance number…) to make room for more commercials. The wiser decision would have been to just fill it in a ninety minute timeslot. But then again this is the same channel which canceled MST3K. How they will treat the last episode for this year’s run remains to be seen. There may be hope though. BBC America (at times) also airs Doctor Who and it’s quite possible they may show in it’s entirety. Of course let’s be real, those fans who want to see the show are gong to see the whole show one way or another.
