Shhh… Silence in the Library Discussion
Wow, what can I say, just wow. Steven Moffat has done it again and turned in what is probably going to be the favorite story amongst us. And the execution was just brilliant. The opening sequences showing the little girl flying through the library and the cinematic scope almost feels like Hollywood quality. And what’s great is that this episode has once again turned something mundane into something kids can have fun on the playground with. Imagine how many rugrats will be “avoiding the shadows” for the next few days. Then there was Alex Kingston playing an archaeologist who apparently not only has met the Doctor, but knows him extremely well. Only the Doctor does not know her (wiibly-wobbly, timey-wimey…). This episode was worth the two week wait. Didn’t catch the banana reference, but hey, it’s a two parter. Maybe next week. What do you guys think?

I think that this episode really is the definition of cliffhanger. If Donna is a node, and it said she was saved, then what of the 4400 other people that were saved and did not apparently survive? How does the doctor escape? Who IS Dr Moon?!? And the little girl? really? I NEED to know!

Loved it, and looking forward to both part two and a moffet run season 5, but I really hope she dosnt turn out to be the doctors wife, or serious love interest

I’m thinking…
The 4400 - wait. 4400? Is that a shout out to that programme? - are all saved in nodes. After all, if the whole planet is a library, they’ll be plenty of them around.
The girl? My guess is that she’s the missing index system, self aware and in some form of protective virtual reality.

The girl MUST be the hard drive, and Moon is an antivirus

I just hope that donna is finally dead.

Though having said that - not very many people around, if’n the library is the size of a planet, even a small one.
Guess it’s possibly the Library is a Dwarf planet, but still…

My only problem with SITL is that it wasn’t made clear enough that Professor Song is in fact Romana III; perhaps when she reappears with the future timelord this will be made clear…
