While we reported in March that Ninth Doctor, Christopher Eccleston, was going to be playing Destro in the upcoming live-action adaptation of G.I. Joe, we didn’t have a picture. So I had to substitute a very poorly done photoshopped pic. But the folks over at IESB.net have gotten the exclusive first look at Eccleston as everyones’ favorite chrome-dome… minus the chrome-dome. Personally I feel the picture is less than spectacular. They should have shown us Destro as we know him, with his mask on and poised for battle. Instead he looks to be about as powerful as Rupert Everette’s Claw from the live action Inspector Gadget film. I’m sure Eccleston will do his best with what material he’s given, but given what I’ve read about this film I just don’t have high hopes for it at all. As far as I’m concerned, they’ve already made a live-action G.I. Joe.
