Did I Mention That He Cried?
Two icons of British society were spot cohabitating recently as fans gathered the filming of the Doctor Who Christmas special in College Green in the UK spotted not only The Doctor (David Tennant) but former Smiths singer Morrissey. According to the Winsford Guardian, the set, and indeed Morrissey himself, were decked out in full Victorian regalia, an interesting choice for an episode that is rumored to feature the return of the Cybermen. Little else is known of the episode of this juncture.
Morrissey, who as a member of the Smiths in the 1980’s sent a tingle into many girls’ naughty places, later went solo to great success, including the high honor of being locked in a Tupperware coffin on the late, great Mystery Science Theater 3000, being played by later MST3K host Mike Nelson. That episode made me cry. (Not just the Morrissey part, City Limits was a horrible, horrible film.)
Good news on the Morrissey part though, can’t wait to see what they’re trying to pull off now.
