Three DVDs To Be Released…
August, August, August. Can’t wait for August. And I know you are just dying to know why. And if not, I’m going to tell you anyway! TV Shows On DVD is reporting that we are going to get three, yes three (count them, ich, ni, son…) Doctor Who American releases that month. The first will be the Hartnell (the First Doctor for you newbies out there) serial, The Time Meddler, which introduces us to the Meddling Monk, the first Timelord we meet other than the Doctor and Susan. The second is a Davison (Doc number Five) story called, Black Orchid. Both DVDs are single disc sets, are packed with a TARDIS-load of extras and retail for about $24.98 and $14.98 respectively.
Now, didn’t I say three DVDs were being released? Yes, I did. However the third disc is actually a double-dip. A cool double-dip, but one none the less. It’s a twenty-fifth anniversary edition of The Five Doctors. And you want to talk about extras? Tons of extras. Outtakes, bloopers, featurettes (including one narrated by Paul McGann, Doc Eight!). Can you tell I’m a bit excited? Now if only these were coming out in June in time for my birthday. Anyway, for the full details on what the DVDs entail, just click the link at the bottom of the page.
